ECONOMICS AT HAND

Looking at the current Zimbabwean economic situation guys what comments can you pass about its future in economics lets say in the next three years? In your view consider the "hot" $40m Bulawayo Development Fund. I think any reasonable head here would actually admit that this development fund should be used to the maximum to refurbish Bulawayo once more into a modern ity like what it once was. We should first of all admit that development in Zimbabwe is not evenly distributed and then we can start talking from there.

  1. @The Bizness .Well if the current political abyss is anything to go by, I see trends remaining stagnant because of the lack of political will to reach consensus on economic policy...In other words a political solution is key

  2. Then if the situation is like that I can say that Zimbabwe is really heading for disaster and I can liken it to a pilotless plane without ruddes yet is cruising at high speed. Like what the former Russian Foreign minister(1990s) once said, "it is deeds that are needed and not verbal exercises" thus at this moment the Zimbabwean Government has to take action to avert the country's dire financial consequence

  3. As if that was not enough, I often despise the seek and hide tactics where we are often told that there is no money. I guess that if used wisely, the little that is there can actually step Zimbabwe a step further rather than always whining and complaining about "the absence of available funds"

  4. Finally, I would then invite all the potential allies out there to join hands with me, us and the Zimbabwean Government in a bid to de-mystify this economic concept....Anyway, what's in your mind guys.....?

  5. What would you say about the previous launch in Manicaland which came out in the Chronicle yesterday on front page? If you follow this story very closely you would nquicly note that from economics it quickly manifested into politics. So where the hell are the sensible economic debates here?
